Our Work
At J Edward Engineering, we take pride in delivering high-quality engineering solutions that combine precision, reliability, and craftsmanship. Our portfolio showcases a diverse range of projects across multiple industries, from bespoke fabrication and precision machining to specialist tooling and heavy-duty industrial components. Every project is approached with the same commitment to excellence, ensuring that each product is manufactured, tested, and finished to the highest standards. By working closely with our clients and maintaining strict quality control throughout the production process, we consistently deliver engineering solutions that perform in the most demanding environments.

Garden Handrail & Door latch

We were approached by the client with a straightforward brief: to improve the safety of the stairs while also incorporating a door latch to prevent the door from swinging open in windy conditions.
Leveraging the wide range of capabilities available at J Edward Engineering, we combined traditional fabrication techniques with additive manufacturing to deliver a practical, durable, and high-quality solution. The result was a bespoke installation completed to a high standard, meeting both the safety and functional requirements of the project.

Beavertail Trailer Grip

This client had recently purchased a beavertail trailer to transport their off-road forklift. However, there was one small problem — the forklift was unable to climb the loading ramps due to a lack of grip.

To solve the issue, we carried out repairs to both ramps and added square bar sections to significantly improve traction. The result is a simple, robust, and effective solution that allows the forklift to be loaded safely and efficiently.

With the modifications complete, the trailer is now fully operational and ready to hit the road for its 2026 tour.

Land Rover Discovery 2 - Hydraulic Valve Block Modification

This Land Rover hydraulic valve block required modification to accept 3/8" BSP hydraulic hoses. Rather than repairing the steel pipework, the decision was made to upgrade the system with new hoses, dramatically improving reliability and providing long-term solution to this common problem.

Atlas Copco S-Bar S100-cc225-w60 Modification

This project marked our first venture into the renewable energy sector. The reaction arms were designed for use in conjunction with an Atlas Copco electric torque wrench. Each component is rigorously tested to 4,500 Nm before being deployed into the field, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance under demanding operating conditions.

Yeadon Town Hall - Entrance Hand rail Refurbishment

As part of a local improvement project at a Grade II listed Town Hall, J Edward Engineering carefully restored the original handrail, preserving its character while bringing it back to a high standard. The work formed part of a wider refurbishment of the steps and surrounding area, demonstrating our attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Testamonial

On behalf of Yeadon Town Hall Theatre, I would like to express our sincere thanks to J. Edward Engineering for the sensitive and professional restoration of the handrail to our building's Main Entrance.

The restoration of our stone steps and handrail has been a long awaited project, and we're grateful for your clear communication - with us and other partners - as well as your expertise and craftsmanship, and understanding of both our operational and heritage needs.

The final result is functional, safe and entirely in keeping with the character of the building.

Thank you very much!

Deborah
